In light of the tragic death of George Floyd in Minnesota, we discovered that he had a caucasion fiancee. She chose to speak on his behalf urging people not to fight fire with fire because that is not what George would want. There are people who believe that she had no right to address the black community as a non-member. How do you feel about this? And what are the other challenges as you look to combine your background, culture and experiences with one another within a bi-racial relationship?

What do you really want to know

There are so many variations of counseling available to us but are we accessing it. Do you have any experience with counseling be it pre-marital, marriage or individual and if so what are your thoughts? Are you supposed to tell the complete truth or do you present only the information that you find to be applicable. 

Another great debate will ensue as we try to figure out if and should your status (education, income, lifestyle) dictate who you date/marry. Also, how open should a person be to "dating down" or accepting their deal breakers in order to find a mate?

If there is one relationship rule that we can agree on as a deal breaker, its cheating! However lets be realistic, cheating happens and it does not always result in the end of the relationship. This epidsode we discuss forgiveness and how some people continue to move foreward. 

My wife named our son after her first love/ex-boyfriend and I had no idea. My son is 5. A few days ago, we were out shopping and ran into a high school friend of my wife. They were briefly catching up when she told her friend that we had a son. When the old friend asked his name my wife hesistated and so I answered the question. The friends whole expression changed, as she then said, "you mean like your ex-boyfriend?" Our sons name is very unique to the point that I've never met another person with the same name. Now, my wife refuses to even speak to me about the name, the ex or anything related to that day. I feel betrayed and disgusted with her. It's like a switch was flipped and in my mind I just cannot look at her the same way anymore.
